Schulte Grid — 5×5 attention drill

Find 1 → 25 in order. The classic peripheral-vision focus game, with no streak pressure.

Schulte Grid is a 5×5 grid of numbers 1 to 25, shuffled. Find them in sequence as quickly as you can. Every tap is timed; mistakes are counted but never punished. When you finish (or pause) you see your best time vs. your previous best.

How the drill works

  1. Pick a target number

The grid highlights which number you should find next. It starts at 1.

  2. Tap the cells in order

Use peripheral vision to spot the highlighted number. Tap a wrong cell and it flashes red; the count just goes up — no streak lost.

  3. Beat your best time

Your best time is saved in your browser. We never publish it, never compare it.

  4. Move on to the Transfer Bridge

When the grid is complete, type one real task and do 5 minutes of it. That pairing is where focus transfers.

FAQ

Is Schulte Grid proven to improve focus?
The grid is a long-standing peripheral-vision training tool. As with Blue Dot, the real benefit comes from pairing it with a Transfer Bridge to a real task — that's where focus generalizes.
Can I do a 3×3 or 7×7 grid?
Not yet. 5×5 is the standard Schulte size and the one we recommend. Easier variants are on the roadmap.
Is my best time private?
Yes. It's stored in your browser's localStorage. We never see it, and we never compare users.
